Join IntegralOrg for this workshop designed to help staff and Board of nonprofits be on the same page as they budget for organizational success!  

We will discuss:

  • Planning before creating a budget
  • Setting the stage – basic terminology
  • Different budget categories: Including Operating vs. Capital, and developing your program and funder budgets  
  • Monitoring the budget and taking action
  • Identifying good budgeting practices and budgeting pitfalls
  • Understanding and managing your reserve fund
  • Available resources to assist organizations in the budgeting processes  

Betty Thompson, FCPA, FCGA: Betty is a chartered professional accountant and President and Board member of IntegralOrg. Betty has over 40 years of entrepreneurial and not-for-profit expertise. Through IntegralOrg, Betty offers coaching services in governance, policy development, and financial and management-related issues.

C.Yvonne Chenier, Q.C.: Yvonne is a lawyer and philanthropy consultant. As Legal Counsel for IntegralOrg, Yvonne brings 35 years of experience helping those in the philanthropic, not-for-profit and social enterprise sectors, acting as general legal counsel and advising on planning, organizational, regulatory, and governance matters.

IntegralOrg is working with the City of Leduc and Leduc County to present a series of workshops on the second Wednesday of the month from January to April 2020, meant to help you strengthen your organization and set you up for success.

Earlier in the day of each workshop, there is the opportunity for organizations to attend a clinic - a FREE, one-on-one, 1-hour consultation with IntegralOrg about a specific issue or question that you have. We’re happy to discuss any challenges you are facing. Please feel free to bring up to four members from your organization to these face-to-face clinics.
