Elevated Leadership: CLOSED

It is with sadness that we need to inform you that as of August 7, 2024, the Canada-Alberta Job Grant has been closed by the Government of Alberta for new applicants until March 31, 2025. As most applicants of Elevated Leadership rely on this support to participate, IntegralOrg is unable to move forward with this leadership development offering at this time.

This unanticipated change leaves us with a profound disappointment as we think about this lost opportunity for nonprofit leaders. We also recognize how detrimental this sudden change is to the nonprofit sector at large, as this funding delivers critical trainings across several subsectors. IntegralOrg will join others in advocacy efforts and continue pushing for accessible education and training supports that further the development of the nonprofit sector.

We continue to explore alternative ways to bring leadership education and training to nonprofit organizations in a sustainable manner.

In the short term, we invite you to register in this free webinar about nonprofit leadership.

INTRO to Leadership: The practice of leadership for nonprofit organizations
Wednesday, November 6, 2024, 1-2pm

Leaders in the nonprofit sector - at any level of an organization - are a breed unto their own. They are dedicated individuals who are passionate about serving communities and striving in creative ways towards social change.

Effective nonprofit leadership is an ongoing journey and intentional practice. Whether you are working on systems level community change, running a nonprofit organization, or leading a team – impactful leadership requires an understanding of self and an openness to learning.

The past few years have intensified the long-standing threats to our sector’s ability to deliver on mission with higher demand for services, limited resources, and major shifts to the way we do work. Now more than ever we need to support the passionate individuals at the helms of their cause so we can continue to sustainably serve our communities.

In this free 1-hour workshop for senior leaders, team leads, and aspiring leaders, Leslie Tamagi and Mike Grogan give an overview of leadership theory balanced with ways to put knowledge into practice.

Topics include:

  • The Three Domains of Leadership: Developing leadership within your self, your team, and your community
  • The need for intentional leadership development
  • Evolving leadership to meet emerging needs in the nonprofit sector
  • Common myths of leadership and the most desired traits of leaders

Elevated Leadership (see above)

There is no one way to be a leader. Leadership is about discovering your strengths and leveraging them to make the greatest impact, no matter where you on your journey. Leadership is about learning to pivot and grow so that you can continue moving towards a meaningful personal vision. It’s inspiring the strengths in others to push forward a collective vision and mission. Leadership is filled with ups and downs, successes and challenges, wins and losses. At its best, the leadership journey is an endeavor that deeply personal and shared.

Leadership is lifting a person's vision to high sights, the raising of a person's performance to a higher standard, the building of a personality beyond its normal limitations.  -- Peter Drucker

Elevated Leadership requires intention and action at both the personal and corporate levels. It requires attention to the self as leader, to the organizations we serve, and to our community.
